Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk together bananas, melted butter, milk, and egg in a medium bowl. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean with no crumbs (melted chocolate on the toothpick is fine), 30 to 35 minutes.
